Some more Indian Food!!! - またインド料理！

Visited a very good friend of mine from the office during the weekend. I was happy to finally meet his wife who I only knew from the stories of my friend. She was charming and was kind enough to make some authentic Indian food for me. Yum!!!! So what I had was egg curry with steamed rice noodle buns. Than I even had two types of sweets which was made right on the spot! They were amazingly good and the coconut flavor just reminded me of the Philippine sweets....

週末に仲の良い会社の同僚の家に遊びに行った。

やっと彼の奥さんに会えて嬉しかった。

彼は大分会社でお世話になりいつも奥さんの話を聞かせてくれた。

とてもチャーミングでラブラブな感じで面白い夫婦であった。妊娠６ヶ月にもかかわらずおいらに家庭インド料理を作ってくれた。かなりマイウー！

今回は卵カレーに米麺を蒸したパンみたいなのと食べました。おまけにデザート二種類も作ってくれた！

うまーーーー！是非これはえりにも食べさせたい！

Sugar cane flowers - 砂糖キビの花

After winter season has came in, these sugar canes fields has turned into a white. Of course not because of the snow, but because of these beautiful flowers that blossomed. According to my friend in office, it is quite rare to see sugar cane flowers. Without a good rich soil and good climate, they don't blossom. Now I am trying to recall back in the Philippines weather the sugar cane has this season also.... hmmm

寒気の時期に入ったとたんモーリシャスの砂糖キビ畑が一面に真っ白になった。もちろん雪なんて降らない。。。原因は真っ白な花咲くからである。見た目はススキのようだが３～４メートル近くにもなる砂糖キビの天辺に咲く。これが広大なスケールで見るとかなり綺麗。砂糖キビの間に入って鬼ごっこでもしたくなるほど子供心を引き付ける。

面白いのがある会社の同僚いわく、砂糖キビの花はめったに咲くものではなく、適切な気候といい土がないと咲かないらしい。う～ん。。中々納得がいかなく、フィリピンで見覚えがあるか悩んでました。

はいススキではありません。

Trou aux Cerfs crater Curepipe - トゥル・オ・セルフ キュールピップ

先週の土日にどこもいけなく今週末はキュールピップのトゥル・オ・セルフ・クレーター（火口跡）を見に行きました。町のバス停から約15分ぐらいの軽い坂道を歩きます。

頂上はクレーターのふちには散歩道になってありランニングしている人もいればベンチでピクニックしてる家族連れや眺めを楽しんでるカップルを見かけます。

クレーターから360度見える眺めはかなり最高！残念ながらちょっと曇り気味だったので青い空は見れませんでした。上にある写真は私が住んでいるフリッカン・フラック（西方面）さしています。

Went to Curepipe to check out the "Trou aux Cerfs crater" since last week I was not able to go out from Flic en Flac. The place was about 15 mins walk on a slight slope from the City bus stop.

The 360 view from the top was amazingly beautiful. Too bad the weather was not as perfect as I thought. 

Surrounding the crater is a walk path were people are jogging and walking. On places you see benches where alot of couples and family are gathered.

かなりきれいな道なのでジョギングのやり甲斐があります。しかも上がり下りがあるので楽しそうです。

This looks like a nice road to jog especially with the ups and downs.

というわけで久々に山からの眺めを久しぶりに見ました。

Tour de Grand Baie + Happy Valentines!!!

Happy Valentines!!! Well that goes for me this time since Eriko is not around. It is going to be our first Valentines that we are not spending the time together. So instead of being trapped in the house I thought of stretching my legs and go to the Northern part of the island. My target town was Grand Baie. It is known to be one the most popular areas for tourist. 

Apparently the Chinese president is visiting Mauritius next week and I see alot of Chinese flags decorated in Town. As you can see from the picture above. The weather is perfect and it was deadly HOT!

Above are pictures from the Central Market at Port Louis. Believe it or not, this was the first time I see fresh fish. Most of the super markets here only sells frozen fishes that are mostly vacuum packed. I was really happy to see this since I was dying for fish!

I finally got my self to Grand Baie after an hour bus ride from Port Louis and the first thing that caught my attention was the emerald blue sea! 

This was taken out of fun. I guess the little ants are having a special dinner tonight!!

Perfect weather, Perfect sun, Perfect color, Perfect clouds.... Perfect Beach.

And after all the self tour and being so exhusted, as I reach home, a bouquet of flower was waiting for me. It was from Eriko who arraigned the deliver. I was really surprise to know that there was such system in Mauritius:b Thank you Eri!!! Miss you Lots!!!
