モーリシャスカレーとの出会い

早速体調を戻し、外食をしてた。まだ6時ごろなのに町あたりの店はほぼ閉まってた。早くね？日本もマニラに比べると早いと思ったけど、これほど早いのはびっくり！会社あがったらないにもないやないか？！これは結構不便だとおもった。。。ホテルから5分をほど歩いたとこに白い看板に青い文字で”Janggo Cafe”が目に付きました。小さなカフェーでインド料理と中華料理だそうです。これもまた何ともいえないコンビネーションでした。どんな味をするんだろうかと想像しながら、定員の兄ちゃんにモーリシャスカレーを勧められた。うん、無難そうだったのでカレーと野菜炒め、ワントンスープを頼みました。

おぉ！カレーは見事にうまかった！これはかなりの感激でした。インドカレーほど辛くなくて、とてもまろやかでスパイスがきちんときいてました。これはいい！食べてる間に定員の兄ちゃんに「どう？」っと聞かれ「旨い旨い！」と笑顔で返信しました。

野菜炒めは中華風でオイスターソースがたっぷり油と泳いでました。

ワントンスープは普通においしく、驚きだったのはワントンでした。みんなの知っている豚のひき肉を使ったワントンではなく、中華の大根ケーキが包んである感じでもっちりした感触でした。

値段は野菜炒め、カレー、ワントンスープとボトル水で305モーリシャスルピー（1ルピー、2.7円）っとちょっと高めだった。。。

けどモーリシャスカレーに出会えてとても光栄に思いました。

Lamb Beriany

Finally I felt the challenge on eating something heavy after I've broken my stomach on the first day. Lamb Beriany is what I had for my dinner and it was very good. The long grain rice really matches for this dish.

とうとう着いてしまいました。

モーリシャスへ！

半分冗談だったかのような気分でいましたけれでE-チケットが本物だったとは最後の最後まで思わなかった。

飛行機から空港の周りをみるときれいな青い海がありました。

小さな航空から出て速気がついたのが小鳥。写真はとっていないがすずめではないことは自覚した。きれいな黄色の模様のついたカラスより一回り小さい鳥でした。不思議な気分で向かいにくれた車に乗りホテルへ向かった。

周りの景色はフィリピンみたいな頑丈そうなコンクリートブロックで作られた家がお目にかかる。台風の多い国みたいでまさしく今がそのシーズンらしい。。。モーリシャスは南半球にあるため、夏と冬が日本と逆であり8，9月が冬にあたるらしい。しかも12～15度ぐらい寒くなるとドライバのウンちゃんが語っていた。結構涼しくなるんだなーとおもった。

寂しいけれど、なんだかこれから新しい生活が始まることにワクワクしてきた。がんばれるとこまでがんばるぜ！

Finally I've got to Mauritus.

There was a blue shoreline as I peep the airport from the airplain.

The moment I went out from the small airport, the first thing that I notice was the chirps of the this beautiful birds. It was not the ordinary birds that I see in the Philippines but one of those birds you encounter in the zoo. 

The view around was just like the Philippines. I see  buildings made of concrete blocks which are made pretty strong to sustain from the strong typhoon season. Which, the current season right now. Note that Mauritius is on the Southern hemisphere, winter and summer are on the opposite of Japan. According to Ajay, who drove me from the airport to my hotel, it gets cold as 12 degree during the winter season. 

Its going to be lonely but knowing that there are going to be a lot of new things I'm starting to get excited about it.

On one of my last day I had Yakitori at Azabu Jyuban with my very good friend from Mid school in the Philippines. Just love how they make their liver on this!

Farewell in 日立（Hitachi）

Visited my fathers home town Hitachi Ibaraki to say farewell to my uncles and aunties before leaving Japan. Talking with them is just another please for me because they are just like kids who loves to talk regardless that their average age is about 70. They were talking about their romantic story during their first dates and gifts that shared each other, places they first lived, hearing them makes me realized that we all go through the same time on earth. What they thought me this time was to keep your partner intact with you always.



In the evening we ate at this Sushi-house that serves the best fishes. I will definitely miss this place....

平間 なでしこ

昨夜、友達が急に牛肉に飢えてたのでうちらを焼肉くいに誘われた。もう数少ない日をできるだけ日本でたべらるものを食べて生きたいと思いOKをだした。年明け早々あいてる店は少なく最終的に見つかったのが南武線沿いの平間駅から徒歩一分のとこにある「なでしこ」である。ブランド牛が売りでなかなかのものでした。中で特製のユッケが今まで食べたユッケの中でトップになりました！霜降りの塩ユッケは絶品ですた！



Last night a friend of us was craving for beef and invited us to have some Yakiniku. Since it was still on New Year holidays in Japan, alot of shops and restaurants were still close but we were able to find a place in Hirama called "Nadeshiko" Their speciality is their branded beefs. The beefs were good but mong them the Yukke was the best.

2009の初お雑煮！

これはこれでやっぱりうまい！久しぶりにたべてやっぱり自分に日本人の血をひいているんだなーと思う。鳥のダシで作るお雑煮しかわからなくて、その日のケンミンショーで全国ほかのお雑煮の食べ方があるのを知りびっくり！あんこ、ちくわなど色々あり、ますます腹減る。。。ちなみに今回のお雑煮に芋をいれてみました～。

Good Morning 2009!

It's going to be my first time to make a blog and I really don't have any particular reason on creating one. Just thought of it because may be it would be nice to get the things recorded on the net? Isn't that the purpose of this? Well I will start by placing a picture , so who ever is going to be the lucky one who views my blog will at least feel comfortable by seeing pictures and not only text.
